If your company is anything like the average, you have some kind of a backup solution in place. But you already know that it's flawed. Perhaps the backup tapes are sitting on top of the server. And perhaps the backup only runs successfully once per week at best. Are you re-using tapes over and over? Have you tested to see if the data is really there? Or have you considered what happens to your business in case a fire destroys the site, the computers and the backup tapes?
Most organizations in this position know that they need a better solution, but they haven't been presented with a viable one that fits their tight IT budget.
This will all change on January 31st, 2003. We will be introducing a Remote Backup Service which will automatically copy your important data from your server to three servers on our networks via a secure link. Your data will be maintained in three geographically diverse datacenters (New Jersey, Texas and California) to ensure that it's not just "off-site", but redundant beyond all foreseeable failure.
We expect to have more details here soon. In the mean time, please contact us with any particular need you may have.
